PSEMC's modern linear fabrication facility is capable of manufacturing a wide variety of metal sheathed linear explosive products.

Flexible Linear Shaped Charge (FLSC) is a continuous explosive core encased in a seamless metal sheath, such as aluminum, copper, lead, tin or silver. Shaped in the form of an inverted 'V', the continuous liner and explosive produce uniform linear cutting action. FLSC can be supplied in a grain size as small as 7gr/ft or as large as 4600 gr/ft.

Mild Detonating Cord (MDC) is metal clad linear explosive usually drawn or extruded in a round configuration. It can be rolled into an elliptical or flat ribbon shape based on customer requirements. Typically, grain sizes vary from 2.5 gr/ft to 100 gr/ft but can be adjusted to fit customers specification requirements.  MDC can be supplied in aluminum, tin, lead or silver sheath.

Flexible Confined Detonating Cord (FCDC) is mild detonating cord that has various layers such as polyethylene, fiberglass, kevlar, stainless steel and copper wire braiding to ensure confinement of the products of detonation once the material has been incorporated into a complete assembly.  The explosive core is normally 2.5 gr/ft. The explosive material and metal sheath vary dependant on specific application and environment.

Rapid Deflagration Cord (RDC) is a very unique product manufactured by PSEMC. This material can be supplied in a wide variety of configurations and metal sheaths to meet specific customer requirements. RDC is non-detonating and burns at a rate of approximately 1000 ft/sec. Functional throughout the temperature range of -200° to +370° C, RDC has been successfully subjected to high temperature storage of 5000 hours at +205° C. RDC can be incorporated into a variety of applications such as satellite rocket motor ignition, propellant activation systems and in distribution systems for dispensing tactical munitions applications.

Small Column Insulated Delay (SCID) consists of a thin column of deflagrating pyrotechnic encased in a protective metal jacket with suitable external insulation. A variety of delay mixes are used to acquire specific burn rates to acquire the desired delay times of  a specific component. SCID may be tightly coiled, formed into sharp bends without impairing its ability to propagate.   This feature of the material allows maximum design flexibility by most efficiently utilizing available working volumes, regardless of configuration. SCID type time delays are extremely accurate and have experienced a longer shelf life than pressed column type delays.

Components such as, Confined Detonating Fuses (CDF), Expanding Tubes, Flexible Confined Detonating Cord (FCDC),  Flexible Linear Shaped Charge (FLSC),  High Pressure Shielded Mild Detonating Cord (HP-SMDC),  Rapid Deflagrating Cord,   Ribbon Mild Detonating Cord (RMDC), Shielded Mild Detonating Cord (SMDC), Small Column Insulated Delay (SCID),   Severance Assemblies and Canopy Fracturing Systems (CFS), and Transfer Lines, all incorporate linear products of the type manufactured by PSEMC.
