The Danaher Business System (DBS) is a business management system designed to achieve world class excellence in customer satisfaction. The system, beginning with the voice of the customer, continuously strives to improve quality, delivery, cost and growth with the involvement of all associates.

Continuous improvement is integral to the PSEMC culture and, as a Danaher Company, DBS is the infrastructure PSEMC has embraced to manage that improvement. Kaizen events are focused on both manufacturing and administrative processes. Lean Manufacturing (Six Sigma) tools, including value stream mapping, one-piece flow, variation reduction, are routinely implemented in order to eliminate waste and respond to customer needs. All PSEMC associates are encouraged to attain master black belts in DBS tools in order to support improvement efforts across the organization.
