MECHANICAL ASSEMBLER

Job Summary:
Mechanical Assemblers perform various production assembly operations on components and subassemblies. Uses visual aids, drawings and verbal and written instruction to assemble, modify, re-work or re-assemble units.

Responsibilities:
• Weigh and pressed inert and energetic materials.
• Perform both inert and energetic assembly operations.
• Set up and use analytical balance.
• Perform inert assembly operations.
• Minor cabling, potting, tinning and assembly work.
• Set up and use powder press for pressing operation.
• Under limited supervision fabricate and deliver mechanical assemblies.
• Set up and use simple fixturing and/or tooling for assembler use.
• Under limited supervision, operate production equipment.
• Duties may include TIG and stitch welding, part specific Bridgewire welding and soldering.
• Laser welding and broad range of B/W welding and soldering.

Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 – 5 years of industry assembly work
• Energetic experience a plus.
