Sr. Financial Manager

Dept: VP Finance

Supervises or directs work of others: 1 to 5 Primary Duties and responsibilities:

• Directs and coordinates financial planning activities in support of the company strategic plan, annual budget and monthly forecasts, Consolidates the product team inputs (bookings, sales, gross margin, proposal and R&D spending and other key performance metrics) to generate forecasted profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.

• Tracks and monitors performance to company budget and forecasts. Prepares detailed analysis and reporting packages to brief senior management and corporate on financial and operating performance.
• Acts as liaison with the company accounting staff and product team finance leads on reporting, planning, and company policies.

• In support of the site VP/General Manager, analyzes cost drivers and evaluates business opportunities to improve the financial performance of the company. Monitors and tracks departmental operating expense and capital spending. Assists functional managers prepare the proper financial justification for capital expenditure requests. Education Required: BA/BS in Accounting or Finance (prefer MBA) Experience: 8-10 years experience in mfg company (prefer working knowledge of FAR/CAS) or 7 years with an MBA degree Key competencies: results orientation, sense of urgency, management by fact quality first, teamwork
